Looking Back to Look Ahead: LBA Ware’s 2018 Year in Review
Mortgage Lender Clients & Partners
We worked with a number of new banks and independent mortgage bankers to improve the efficiency of managing incentive compensation plans, including Finance of America, American Financial Network, Alterra Home Loans, On Q Financial and United Community Bank, among others. In turn, CompenSafe™ helped our clients to automatically calculate over $1 billion in total compensation last year alone, a 47 percent increase from 2017.
2018 also saw us expand our relationship with The Mortgage Collaborative to help the co-op redesign its Benchmark 2.0 platform, and we added LendingQB to our roster of top-notch LOS integrations.
As we had our most productive year to date, it almost felt like it was raining awards for our CEO, Lori Brewer. She was named to Mortgage Professional America (MPA) magazine’s 2018 Hot 100 list and earned her second-straight honor on MPA’s Elite Women in Mortgage list. Brewer was also honored as a HousingWire 2018 Woman of Influence and named one of Mortgage Banking’s Most Powerful Women by National Mortgage Professional magazine. She rounded out the year with a 2018 HousingWire Vanguard Award™.
In addition, Lisa Birmingham, LBA Ware’s DevOps Manager, was named a 2018 HousingWire Insiders Award™ recipient. Birmingham was recognized for leveraging her considerable talents to help LBA Ware increase product enhancements and system adoption over the course of her two-year tenure at the company.
As a company, LBA Ware was named to the 2018 HWTech100™ list, published by HousingWire. This is the fourth consecutive year that LBA Ware has been recognized for our flagship automated incentive compensation and sales performance management platform CompenSafe. LBA Ware was also named to MReport’s inaugural list of the Top 25 Companies to Work For in mortgage and housing. We were recognized for cultivating a workplace culture that encourages collaboration, innovation and professional development and were just one of five companies recognized for being minority or woman owned and operated.
One of our projects from 2018 actually continues into 2019, as we are honored and proud to extend our sponsorship of the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce’s Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!), an innovative program that transforms local middle and high school students into real entrepreneurial successes. YEA! is an after-school program that coaches students aged 11 to 18 through the process of launching a business or social movement over the course of the academic school year.
A Decade Helping the Mortgage Industry
Even with all the success, accolades, and partnerships we cultivated in 2018, our most proud moment was celebrating the 10th anniversary of LBA Ware. We’ve done more, together as a work family, then we could have ever imagined these past years and can’t wait to see what the next 10 (plus) years bring. And with everything we achieved over the last year, it can be easy to simply distill the year down into hard metrics, such as the $135+ billion in total closed and funded loans that were processed for compensation using CompenSafe in 2018.
However, we want to make sure to always look at the bigger picture – the company culture we have developed (and yes, been recognized for), recognizing achievements at all levels of leadership and giving back to our community. It’s this bigger picture that makes 2018 look even bigger and 2019 even brighter. To get the full picture of our big picture in 2018, check out our 2018 Year in Review infographic.
